Sometimes you just need a break

At the end of 2014 I wrote this post about how my life was being overrun with frantic energy and one of my goals for this year was to break the vicious cycle feeding into the chaotic stresses in my life. The main reason I haven’t written anything new since I took my big trip earlier this year was to follow-through with that intention. Despite my want to write more about my trip and update all my photos, videos and share with you the stories from my┬ábig adventure, I had to put it on the back burner to focus on some more immediate life stuff.

What stuff could be more important you say? To make a long story as short as possible at the end of my trip I became ill, was hospitalized and had to come home early. Within two weeks of being home I took a new career opportunity and left my beloved job of over 5 years for an opportunity closer to home. Soon after my car died and my house sustained damaged which we’re going to have to move out to fix. All the upheaval, major life changes and financial strain in the last 6 months has left me reeling.

While I focus on taking care of business and keeping my anxiety in check (not an easy task these days!) I hope to have more time to get back to writing again. Until then, here is a snapshot of the tattoo I got while in Thailand to memorialize my trip and the important of travel to me – crow for life!

In the meantime while I get to writing all my updates you can check out a lot of updates that I posted while on the road on my Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
